Overview

Under the directives of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, an electronic service was created to address the challenges facing government sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This innovative app aims to actively involve Bahraini youth in decision-making and problem-solving processes, allowing them to contribute their perspectives and ideas to overcome these challenges. By engaging the youth, the initiative empowers them to play a crucial role in shaping the future of the Kingdom through collaborative solutions.

Objectives

​Al Mustashar service is the first of its kind, in which the Kingdom's ministries will periodically present the most prominent challenges they face in order to present them to the youth and receive their solutions and proposals to present them to the ministries and find out the extent to which the proposals can be adopted. If adopted, they will be officially announced. The service aims to emphasize youth empowerment where youth are considered a national priority and their voice is heard, and they are trusted with their ideas and initiatives. In addition to the involvement of youth in public affairs and their contribution to the various issues and challenges that the Kingdom’s ministries are facing, as well as strengthening the youth’s relations with officials in the ministries.​​

• What is the Almustashar app? 

  An electronic service through the eShabab app, launched under the directives of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa during the closing session of the 2020 Youth Summit. The app enables youth to identify the challenges faced by government sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain and actively propose solutions from their perspective. By providing a platform for youth participation, the initiative fosters their involvement in shaping policies and finding creative, youth-driven solutions to enhance the country's development.

• What are the conditions for participating in the Almustashar app? 

  • The applicant must be aged between 18 and 35 years.
  • The proposed solution should contribute to development and address community issues.
  • All solutions must be submitted through the eShabab app.

• Who can apply to the Almustashar app? 

  Bahraini youth aged 18 to 35 years who have ideas and suggestions to propose innovative solutions for improving services provided by ministries and government entities.  

• What is the application process? 

  By downloading the eShabab app, clicking on the Almustashar  section, reviewing the challenges published by government entities in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and participating by submitting a proposed solution with a detailed explanation. The solution is then evaluated by the respective government entity.

• What is the submission period? 

  The Almustashar app is available year-round, and challenges are periodically published by government entities as needed.

• When will the submission results be available? 

  Participants receive a response after the proposal submission period ends and the evaluation is completed by the respective entity.

• Can one person submit more than one solution? 

  Yes, participants can submit proposed solutions for the same entity or multiple entities.
