How can an entity apply for “Youth Supporter”?
Applications can be submitted through the Ministry of Youth Affairs’ official website, under the available e-services. www.mya.gov.bh

How is the evaluation carried out to obtain this mark?
The evaluation process within the “Youth Supporter” initiative follows a dual integrated approach aimed at providing a comprehensive picture of youth empowerment within the entity. This dual approach enhances the credibility of the evaluation process and connects institutional policies with the actual experiences of young people in the workplace.
- Stage One: Completion of the application form by the entity, documenting the policies and practices applied in the areas of institutional youth empowerment, according to the five approved pillars.
- Stage Two: The Ministry of Youth Affairs team sends an electronic survey to the entity’s designated point of contact, to be circulated internally among young employees. The purpose of this survey is to gather their opinions and actual experiences within the work environment.

What are the classifications (levels) of the mark?
The “Youth Supporter” mark is classified into two levels: Gold and Silver.
- The Gold mark is awarded to entities that apply the highest standards of youth empowerment and support.
- The Silver mark is awarded to institutions that provide clear commitments and effective efforts in this field, enabling them to reach higher standards in the future.

What are the evaluation criteria of “Youth Supporter”?
There are six main criteria within the “Youth Supporter” model, reflecting the pillars of youth work and promoting the move toward a stimulating and sustainable institutional environment for youth. Evaluation is based on these criteria, which include:
- Availability of a supportive and flexible institutional environment that enhances young people’s psychological and professional well-being.
- Empowering youth to voice their opinions and participate in decision-making and institutional development.
- The extent to which the entity provides institutional support that fosters youth’s professional and personal growth.
- The entity’s efforts to harness youth’s capabilities and enable them to create impact within the institution and society.
- Recognizing youth contributions and enhancing their status through appreciation and support inside and outside the institution.
- Surveying young employees’ views on the level of institutional support for youth (this criterion is optional).
Each main criterion includes a set of measurable sub-criteria, totaling 17 criteria covering institutional and programmatic aspects of youth support. Each main criterion includes one optional sub-criterion, which grants the entity additional points if achieved, reflecting a greater commitment to youth empowerment.

What benefits will be granted to entities that obtain the “Youth Supporter” mark?
Awarded entities will be honored and highlighted during a high-level official ceremony under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Various privileges will be granted to recipients of the Gold and Silver marks, including:- Authorization to use the “Youth Supporter” mark in official correspondence and media publications of the entity.
- Media advantages through television and radio channels affiliated with the Ministry of Information.
- Facilitated procedures and transactions across various institutions.
- Free training courses for the entity’s employees.
- Access to sports facilities, youth centers, and their amenities upon request.
- Additional benefits will be announced later.
