This global award, the first of its kind, reflects the belief of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, in the ability of youth to lead their countries and the world toward a better future characterized by peace and prosperity for all people on a healthy and renewable planet. The award recognizes the efforts of youth to be active and productive citizens contributing to the well-being of their communities and the environment. It also acknowledges organizations that work to improve the environment and infrastructure for youth to make an impact, across all United Nations member states.
