Overview Overview

A request to register youth empowerment centers and organizations must be submitted according to the registration conditions and mechanisms, in addition to the criteria of the model regulations for centers and organizations supervised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs.

  • The area or governorate where the center, organization, or association is located must need a youth entity. The ministry can refuse registration if another similar entity exists.
  • A suitable headquarters for administrative activities and service activities must be provided, along with an area for cultural and sports activities.
  • The nature of the youth entity to be established must be defined, specifying its type (social, sports), main objectives, type and field of activity, means of achieving these objectives, geographical scope, and its administration center must be located in Bahrain.
  • The name of the youth entity must be complete without abbreviation.
  • The name must reflect the area or village or governorate it represents, subject to ministry approval. The entity cannot use a name or logo that confuses it with other entities. This name will be used in all correspondence and transactions, and it cannot be changed or modified without prior approval from the ministry.

  • According to Article 8 of the Associations Law, two copies in Arabic of the association's bylaws must be signed by the founders, and if in a foreign language, the original copy must be attached, along with two copies of the founding committee's meeting minutes with their details, and a registration fee of 10 dinars (which may be increased with the minister's approval).
