Minister of Youth Affairs meets with the delegation of young legislators from the Federal Council of Russia.
Rawan bint Najeeb tawfeeqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, received a delegation from the Chamber of Young Legislators under the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, headed by Senator Alexander Varfolomeev.
The Minister highlighted the strong Bahraini-Russian relations across various domains, particularly in the youth Sector.
She underscored Bahrain’s commitment to supporting and advancing areas of cooperation that strengthen youth relations, promote joint programmes, facilitate the exchange of successful experiences, and foster strong and sustainable ties between Bahraini and Russian youth.
The Minister also highlighted the Kingdom’s national strategy for youth empowerment, along with the events and initiatives designed to expand youth engagement. She emphasised Bahrain’s investment in young people through training opportunities aimed at developing their skills and capabilities and enabling them across a wide range of fields.
Discussions also addressed initiatives to support youth entrepreneurship, along with the positive outcomes of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s launch of the Global Network for Youth Competitiveness, known as the "Hope Network,"
She underlined its importance as a comprehensive international platform that fosters youth empowerment and belief in the power of hope. The Minister noted that Russia is a participating member of the network.
On his part, Senator Varfolomeev commended the cooperation between the two countries in various areas, particularly in the youth sector.
He underscored the importance of further strengthening joint efforts to develop collaborative programmes that serve the youth communities in both countries.
