Ministry of Youth Affairs joins the Public Prosecution’s Social Care Initiative ‘’Riaya’’ as a Partner

As part of national efforts to strengthen the social protection system and support the target groups of the Public Prosecution’s Social Care Initiative ‘’Riaya’’, the Public Prosecution announced the Ministry of Youth Affairs’ participation as one of the initiative’s partners in implementing its programs.

 

This partnership aims to expand the scope of the initiative’s services and enhance the integration of roles among national institutions in serving children, women, and families, as well as empowering youth within a comprehensive approach to community care.

Dr. Ali bin Fadhel Al Buainain, the Attorney General, emphasised that the ‘’Riaya’’ initiative launched by the Public Prosecution in 2021, embodies a comprehensive humanitarian approach adopted by the Public Prosecution in handling cases involving children, women, and families, by providing holistic care that goes beyond the legal framework to include psychological and social support, through a network of partners from official and civil institutions.

On her part, Rawan bint Najeeb tawfeeqi, the Minister of Youth Affairs, said that through this cooperation the ministry aims to maximise youth potential, unite efforts to promote values of giving and social responsibility, which impacts positively on the family’s stability and empowering its members.

Within this framework, a meeting was held at the Public Prosecution’s building, attended by Fatima Jassim Al Koheji, Advisor to the ‘’Riaya’’ Initiative and Head of the Public Prosecutions, and Shaikha Abdulla Butti, Director of Youth Empowerment at the Ministry of Youth Affairs, along with several representatives from both entities. The meeting focused on coordinating joint cooperation and mechanisms for leveraging the ministry’s programs to support the goals of the initiative.
