Youth Affairs Minister chairs meeting on empowering young Bahrainis in public and private sectors

Rawan bint Najeeb tawfeeqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, chaired a meeting of the Youth Empowerment Committee in the Public and Private Sectors, held at 2030 Youth City.

 

The minister emphasised that empowering young national talent is a core pillar of the National Youth Empowerment Strategy 2023–2028, given their vital role in supporting comprehensive development. She highlighted the importance of continued collaboration between the public and private sectors to sustain the positive impact of youth empowerment programmes and reinforce the role of youth as active partners in shaping Bahrain’s present and future.

Minister  tawfeeqi underlined the need to institutionalise a sustainable approach to youth empowerment by launching further initiatives and designing programmes based on youth aspirations. She stressed that effective public-private partnership is essential to the success and continuity of these efforts. The minister also underscored the committee’s commitment to providing a supportive environment that enables Bahraini youth to grow, innovate, and contribute productively across all domains.

The meeting reviewed topics on the agenda, including means to advance cooperation with relevant entities on joint youth empowerment initiatives, updates on 2030 Youth City, and highlights of key programmes, success stories, and outcomes in youth training and development.

The committee also discussed the efforts of several entities in adopting initiatives that integrate young talent into ongoing development paths, supporting skill building and expanding youth contributions to national progress.

A presentation was delivered on the Ministry of Youth Affairs’ new website, which offers digital services to help young people explore opportunities and register for available programmes more easily.
