Youth Affairs Minister receives UNDP Resident Representative
Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, received Asmaa Shalabi, Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to Bahrain.
The minister highlighted the partnership between the Ministry and UNDP in Bahrain, which has benefitted Bahraini youth in various domains. She noted the launch of joint programmes and initiatives created to empower young people, strengthen their role in society, and offer specialised training.
These efforts have helped develop leadership skills, build capacities, and equip youth with the skills needed to adapt to changing industry demands.
Minister Tawfiqi emphasised the Ministry’s main efforts to empower youth and develop their skills in various domains. She highlighted the need to strengthen the partnership and continue joint programmes, as they play a key role in improving the skills of Bahraini youth and involving them in the Kingdom’s overall development across different sectors.
