Youth Minister attends launch of Kooheji Jewellery featuring designs by Youth 2030 city talent
Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfeeqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, attended the launch of the jewellery collection designed by participants from Youth City 2030. The event was part of a specialised training programme organised in partnership with Kooheji Jewellery.
The event was attended by Walid Al Kooheji, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kooheji Jewellery.
During the ceremony, held at the Kooheji Jewellery pavilion at the Jewellery Arabia Exhibition, Minister Tawfeeqi toured the collection to view the pieces created by the young designers. Their initial ideas and sketches had been transformed into finely crafted jewellery reflecting their creativity and skill in one of the most precise and artistic industries.
The Youth Minister commended the strong partnership between the ministry and Kooheji Jewellery, highlighting its positive impact in discovering and supporting young national talent. She noted that the initiative provided participants with valuable hands-on experience to develop their skills and expand their career prospects, demonstrating the potential of Bahraini youth and their ability to innovate in creative domains. She also emphasised the ministry’s commitment to offering programmes that empower young people and prepare them for the future.
She also commended the winning participants for turning their ideas into unique designs with a distinct aesthetic, noting that their work represents a valuable contribution and reflects their dedication to developing their jewellery design skills.
On his part, Walid Al Kooheji expressed pride in the Bahraini youth who successfully presented their designs at a prestigious platform like the Jewellery Arabia Exhibition. He expressed pride in seeing the young designers’ creative ideas transformed into finished pieces displayed at the Kooheji Jewellery pavilion on an international stage, highlighting the ability of Bahraini youth to excel, innovate, and compete in the high-end jewellery industry.
He added that the company will continue to support initiatives that give youth real opportunities to develop their artistic and professional skills, showcase their creativity, and actively contribute to the Kingdom of Bahrain’s growth and achievements.
Minister Tawfeeqi honoured the young designers of the collection in recognition of their creativity and achievements.
