Rawan bint Najeeb tawfeeqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, inaugurated the Al Manara Art and Culture Space at the Muharraq Youth Centre, in the presence of Shaikha Maram bint Isa Al Khalifa, Secretary-General of the National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD), as well as a number of artists and young creatives.

The opening marked a new step in the ministry’s efforts to provide spaces that inspire young people and nurture their creativity, offering them opportunities to engage with art and culture in a dynamic, interactive setting.

In her remarks, the minister said that Al Manara reflects the ministry’s vision of connecting youth with the arts and providing a platform that encourages self-expression and creative growth. She noted that the space represents the energy and imagination of Bahraini youth, turning their artistic ambitions into reality through collaboration and innovation.

The minister toured the venue’s facilities, which include art displays, creative workshops, mural painting areas, a music corner, and the Wall of Creators celebrating young talent. She also visited the Suhad Café, where she met with young entrepreneurs, commending their initiative and reaffirming the ministry’s support for projects that combine creativity with entrepreneurship.

The Al Manara space will serve as a hub for art and culture, hosting a wide range of workshops and events in fields such as painting, music, photography, and design. The initiative seeks to foster artistic appreciation, highlight emerging Bahraini talent, and build a creative community that connects youth with established artists and professionals.

The minister emphasised that such initiatives play an important role in enriching Bahrain’s cultural landscape, deepening youth engagement in the arts, and promoting innovation as a driver of sustainable development.
