Youth Minister receives Al Riwaq Art Space Director

Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, received with Bayan Kanoo, Founder and Director of Al Riwaq Art Space in Bahrain, to discuss expanding cooperation aimed at supporting youth-led artistic initiatives and promoting creativity as a key driver of youth empowerment in Bahrain.

 

The minister highlighted the important role played by Al Riwaq in providing young people with a platform for artistic expression and innovation. She noted that the ministry is keen to build on this partnership to further develop skills, refine talents and encourage broader youth participation, in line with its strategy to empower national talent across diverse fields.

The two sides also discussed a range of joint initiatives, including specialised training programmes in the arts, opportunities for emerging artists to strengthen their capabilities, and joint exhibitions that would showcase youth creativity to local and international audiences.

For her part, Kanoo praised the ministry’s commitment to nurturing young talent and creating an environment where creativity can flourish. She expressed Al Riwaq’s commitment to broaden its collaboration with the ministry, offering young people greater opportunities not only to present their work but also to contribute meaningfully to Bahrain’s cultural and artistic landscape.
