Within the framework of the official visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, to the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt on cooperation in the field of youth and the establishment of the Bahraini-Egyptian Youth Council. The MoU was signed on behalf of Bahrain by H.E. Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and on behalf of Egypt by H.E. Mr. Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Finance.

On this occasion, H.E. Ms. Rawan bint Najeeb tawfeeqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, emphasized the depth and strength of Bahraini-Egyptian relations, deeply rooted in history and reinforced by the shared will to open broader horizons of growth and prosperity. She pointed to the tangible progress in cooperation between the two brotherly countries, reflecting the gracious care of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, may God protect him, and his brother, H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, under the great attention of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in strengthening bilateral cooperation, especially in the field of youth.

The Minister explained that the Ministry of Youth Affairs continues to implement the policies of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, chaired by H.H. Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, aimed at strengthening bridges of communication between Bahraini youth and their peers in brotherly countries, foremost among them the Arab Republic of Egypt.

She further noted that the establishment of the Bahraini-Egyptian Youth Council through the agreement between the Ministry of Youth in Bahrain and the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Egypt represents a qualitative leap in the framework of joint youth work. The Council will structure cooperation and strengthen relations between the youth of the two countries through a comprehensive roadmap of youth programs, activities, and policies, in addition to developing initiatives that enhance the role of youth in development. It will also support the exchange of youth visits and delegations, as well as joint international representation. Furthermore, the Council will contribute to embedding the values of youth diplomacy, promoting sustainable development partnerships, and building national youth models capable of global dialogue, spreading the culture of peace, and enhancing the image of both countries in international forums.
