HM King’s visit to 2030 Youth City hailed by organisers, participants

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s visit to 2030 Youth City was hailed by organisers and participants as a historic and inspirational occasion, reflecting royal confidence in Bahraini youth and their central role in national development.

 

Speaking to Bahrain News Agency (BNA), they described the visit as a powerful source of motivation, highlighting His Majesty’s unwavering support for youth and commitment to investing in their talents and potential.

They noted that 2030 Youth City serves as a comprehensive platform for nurturing skills, developing leadership, and strengthening the values of citizenship among young Bahrainis.

Abdulaziz Duaij Sharida, one of the organisers of the accompanying events, said the royal visit had a lasting impact on all involved, providing a strong moral boost. He noted that His Majesty’s words of encouragement deepened their commitment and inspired them to give their utmost in service to the nation.

He added that 2030 Youth City plays a vital educational and cultural role, offering opportunities for participants to explore their talents and acquire teamwork, responsibility, and communication skills that will support their academic and professional growth.

Sharida expressed his gratitude to His Majesty the King and to His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, for their continued support. He emphasised that such royal encouragement motivates young Bahrainis to meet national expectations and contribute actively to the Kingdom’s progress.

Zayed Ahmed Al Doseri, a member of the Science Committee, said the presence of His Majesty the King, accompanied by His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Personal Representative of His Majesty the King; His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad; and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), gave the event national prominence.

He noted that the visit, which coincided with the opening of the programme, conveyed a strong message of royal appreciation that inspired participants to continue striving for excellence and contributing to national development.

Abdullah Abdulrahman Butti, from the Media and Entertainment Centre, said the visit instilled a deep sense of pride and belonging, underscoring that Bahraini youth are recognised and supported at the highest levels. He added that the experience allowed him to develop media skills in a collaborative and dynamic setting.

Fatima Sami Al Mannai, a member of the Events and Programmes Committee, described the visit as a moment filled with pride and joy, which strengthened her resolve to contribute with passion and commitment. She said the initiative reflects His Majesty’s enduring support for youth development and offers a space where creativity and talent can thrive.

She emphasised that the trust placed by His Majesty in the youth is a source of honour and responsibility, which participants are determined to uphold through diligence and national service.

Noor Mahmood Al Namliti, from the Sports and Health Centre, said the visit was a defining moment that reflected His Majesty’s sincere belief in the capabilities of Bahrain’s youth and their contribution to the country’s future.

She added that His Majesty’s leadership in championing youth development makes national aspirations feel more tangible and achievable. The visit, she said, would remain a milestone in their journey of growth and national engagement.

Tasbeeh Abdullah Aamer, also from the Sports and Health Centre, said the visit delivered a clear message that youth remain at the heart of Bahrain’s priorities and continue to receive sustained encouragement. She noted that 2030 Youth City provides an environment that nurtures ambition and confidence, transforming aspirations into skills within a supportive framework.

She added that the experience strengthened her sense of national responsibility and identity, and that the visit deepened her determination to contribute meaningfully to Bahrain’s future.

Mohammed Osama Al Khateeb, a participant in the programme, said His Majesty’s visit was a defining moment in his personal journey, carrying national meaning and inspiration. He described the occasion as deeply patriotic and said His Majesty’s words encouraged youth to reflect on their role as future nation builders.

He said his time in 2030 Youth City helped him recognise leadership potential he had not previously realised, laying a foundation for his academic and professional ambitions.

Ahmed Khalid Buallay, also a participant, said the visit was a strong source of motivation for young people to continue giving back to the nation. He said His Majesty’s presence and engagement conveyed a lasting message of appreciation.

Duaa Mohammed Al Jareesh, from the Registration Department, said the visit reflected the depth of royal care for young national talent. She noted that His Majesty’s encouragement inspired confidence and strengthened their belief in their ability to make meaningful contributions.

She added that 2030 Youth City provides a unique platform for developing skills and directing youthful energy toward constructive national engagement. She said the trust placed in them by His Majesty is a badge of honour they are committed to upholding through dedication and responsible citizenship.

Latifa Mohammed Abdulghaffar, from the Events Committee, described the royal visit as a powerful and unexpected gesture that left a profound impression. She said participants had been told by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to expect a surprise, but had not anticipated a personal visit from His Majesty.

She described the moment as unforgettable, a reflection of the leadership’s closeness to the youth and the far reaching support extended to them. She added that the visit would remain a proud milestone, highlighting that 2030 Youth City was not merely a summer programme, but a transformative experience that shaped their values, strengthened their national identity, and deepened their resolve to contribute to Bahrain’s future.
