In Coordination with Youth Ministry, North Sehla Youth Centre concludes NSYCMUN Conference
In coordination with the Ministry of Youth Affairs, the North Sehla Youth Empowerment Centre concluded the NSYCMUN (North Sehla Youth Centre Model United Nations) conference, held under the theme "A Moment of Reflection." The event brought together 125 young participants from Bahrain and GCC countries.
As the first MUN conference of its kind organised by a youth centre in Bahrain, the initiative marks a significant step in developing youth skills in international diplomacy, decision-making, and institutional communication by simulating the workings of the United Nations.
Participants assumed the roles of diplomats representing various countries and organisations, engaging in structured debates on key global situations, to enhance their critical thinking, public speaking, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Marwan Fouad Kamal, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, emphasised that the conference aligns with the Ministry’s strategic vision to prepare Bahraini youth for active regional and international engagement. He described the model as a platform for expanding youth awareness of global affairs and diplomatic practice.
