Rawan bint Najeeb tawfeeqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, visited the Al Qarya Youth Empowerment Centre in the Northern Governorate.

 

 Minister tawfeeqi underscored the Ministry’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the role of Youth Empowerment Centres across the Kingdom.

 She emphasised the Ministry continues to provide comprehensive support, enabling these centres to offer engaging environments for young people, and to provide spaces conducive to their intellectual, cultural, and skills development.  These efforts are aimed at unlocking the potential of Bahraini youth and channelling their abilities in the service of their community and nation.

 The Minister was briefed on the centre’s key programmes and activities, and their role in supporting young people, developing their skills, and nurturing their talents.

Minister tawfeeqi toured the centre’s facilities and viewed a range of artistic works and creative products produced by young people as part of the centre’s initiatives and events.  She commended the high standard of artistic expression and innovation demonstrated, noting that these achievements reflect the promising ambitions and exceptional abilities of Bahraini youth and merit continued support.

She highlighted the Board of Directors' efforts to nurture young people and direct their energies positively.  She underscored the Ministry’s commitment to supporting youth centres throughout the Kingdom, and to launching comprehensive programmes and initiatives that align with the aspirations and priorities of young people, thereby contributing to the development of an informed and empowered generation capable of leading to positive change in society.

 Minister tawfeeqi honoured the Chairman and Board members as well as several outstanding young individuals in various domains.  Participants in the Centre’s art and e-sports courses, and the junior football team, were also recognised in appreciation of their dedication and achievements.

 On his part, Mohammed Redha Isa, Chairman of the Al Qarya Youth Empowerment Centre, said that the Minister's visit reflects her direct interest in enhancing the role of youth centres and advancing their national contribution.  He noted the centre’s commitment to delivering innovative programmes and initiatives that nurture young people, develop their skills, and build their capacities for active participation in Bahrain’s comprehensive national development
