The "Gulf Aware Leaders – Wellbeing and Leadership" programme, hosted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs until December 10, has opened with the participation of 46 young people aged 18–30 from across the Gulf Cooperation Council. The programme supports the Kingdom of Bahrain’s efforts to strengthen joint Gulf youth work and develop leadership skills and mental well-being.

Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, highlighted the programme’s role in advancing GCC cooperation and enhancing leadership skills. Nani Mohammed Butti, Assistant Undersecretary for Support and Initiatives at the Ministry of Youth Affairs, noted that the mix of workshops and sessions provides an interactive environment that enhances personal and professional development.

The programme offers a varied schedule aimed at conscious leadership, wellbeing, and Gulf youth networking. The first day included sessions on emotional impact on decision-making, stress management, and an interactive activity at Souq Al Baraha.

The second day covers scientific and psychological aspects of wellbeing, with sessions on positive human traits, youth wellbeing challenges, and the connection between the mind and the body, followed by health and recreational activities at Bahrain Bay Beach.

On the third day, participants will visit the Muharraq Model Youth Centre for workshops on art-based expression for wellbeing and a discussion on sustainable youth wellbeing.
