Rawan bint Najeeb tawfeeqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, met with a group of young visual artists, held in the presence of Shaikha Dhowa bint Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the LAMAA Board of Trustees and member of the National Arts Council. The session is part of the Ministry’s ongoing "Hadith" initiative, which aims to listen to Bahraini youth and enable them to actively contribute to shaping their future and nurturing an environment that supports their talents and creativity.

Minister tawfeeqi emphasised the Ministry’s strong commitment to listening to youth and maintaining open and effective channels of communication with them. She noted that the open meetings held as part of the second edition of the "Hadith" initiative serve as a constructive platform for youth to express their views and aspirations freely and transparently.

The Minister highlighted that the meeting reflected the Ministry’s efforts to closely understand the perspectives and suggestions of young artists regarding ways to develop their skills and strengthen their artistic abilities. The discussions also addressed initiatives proposed by the artists to enhance their presence locally, regionally, and internationally. She confirmed that all ideas and proposals raised during these sessions are taken into consideration and referred to the relevant authorities.

The session featured a productive discussion on the current state of visual arts in the Kingdom, exploring means to support young talent through training programmes, participation in local and international exhibitions, and the provision of creative spaces to showcase their work. Participants also discussed challenges facing young artists and explored means of ensuring sustainability for their artistic projects.

The young artists expressed their appreciation to the Minister for the opportunity to engage directly and share their ideas and visions to develop the Kingdom’s art scene. They highlighted their dedication to continuing their artistic contributions and inspiring their peers by producing works that reflect Bahrain’s identity and authentic values.

The "Hadith" initiative, launched by the Ministry of Youth Affairs, is designed to strengthen the role of youth in shaping policies and programmes relevant to their present and future. The first edition of the initiative achieved tangible results, including eight youth dialogue sessions that generated 68 innovative ideas and proposals, several of which have already been implemented. Others have been adopted into the Ministry’s strategic plans to support promising youth projects and broaden their impact within the community.
