Youth Minister discusses cooperation with Jordanian counterpart

Rawan bint Najeeb tawfeeqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, held a meeting with Dr. Raed Sami Afash Al Adwan, Minister of Youth in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, during her official visit to Amman. The meeting discussed means to strengthen youth cooperation between the two countries and joint efforts to empower young people.

The Minister highlighted the strong relations between Bahrain and Jordan, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein. She emphasised the importance of building on achievements and partnerships, exchanging expertise, and expanding opportunities for youth participation in development.

She underlined the convergence of visions between the two kingdoms on investing in youth capabilities and providing a supportive environment that enables them to lead national initiatives and creative projects, contributing to a more prosperous future.

The meeting also reviewed cooperation in youth empowerment, developments related to the executive programme signed in 2023, and future strategic priorities. It addressed the activation of Jordan’s membership in the Hope Network and opportunities to hold joint youth events under its umbrella to strengthen regional cooperation and exchange expertise.

Dr. Raed Al Adwan emphasised the depth of bilateral relations and the commitment to developing strategic youth partnerships. He commended the efforts of both countries to expand cooperation, adopt joint initiatives, and invest in youth potential to support their role in creativity and innovation.

He added that the Jordanian Ministry of Youth was keen to expand cooperation with its Bahraini counterpart in domains that serve young people, reflecting the aspirations of the leaderships in both countries and translating them into practical projects and initiatives.
