Minister of Youth Affairs Chairs the First Meeting of the Cooperation Committee between the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Youth Empowerment Centers
Her Excellency Mrs. Rawan bint Najeeb tawfeeqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, chaired the first meeting of the Cooperation Committee between the Ministry of Youth Affairs and the Youth Empowerment Centers. The meeting comes as part of the Ministry’s commitment to continuously strengthening mechanisms of cooperation and institutional coordination with youth centers, in a way that contributes to developing the youth work environment and achieving the strategic objectives related to youth empowerment in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the meeting, Her Excellency the Minister of Youth Affairs emphasized the crucial role played by the Youth Empowerment Centers in supporting Bahraini youth and meeting their aspirations, noting that these centers serve as a pivotal platform for nurturing creative energies and youth initiatives, strengthening cultural and intellectual identity, and developing personal and professional skills and competencies, all within the frameworks of the National Youth Empowerment Strategy.
Her Excellency also highlighted that the Kingdom of Bahrain continues to lead in supporting and empowering youth by enabling them to explore promising opportunities, develop their skills, and enhance their capabilities in the fields of entrepreneurship and leadership. She affirmed that strengthening joint cooperation between the Ministry and the Youth Empowerment Centers will build upon the achievements already made and drive further progress in the youth sector.
The meeting addressed several important topics, including the roles assigned to the Youth Empowerment Centers in nurturing youth talents and implementing strategies aimed at maximizing the role of Bahraini youth across various fields, as well as contributing to the development of their skills and capabilities. It also reviewed a number of proposals and initiatives that contribute to enhancing the administrative and organizational aspects of the centers and training their staff.
It is worth noting that Her Excellency the Minister of Youth Affairs had previously issued a resolution establishing the “Cooperation Committee between the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Youth Empowerment Centers,” which includes in its membership all centers. The Committee aims to consolidate joint cooperation, improve the quality of youth programs, exchange expertise, and disseminate best institutional practices, in addition to building strategic partnerships with private sector institutions. This, in turn, contributes to the sustainability of performance excellence and the achievement of long-term sustainability in national youth work.
