15 September 2025

Following the directives of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, the fifth edition of the national project “Lamea” has been launched.

The project aims at positioning Bahraini youth at the forefront of national development and building a generation of leaders with strong national awareness, creativity, and limitless potential.
Rawan bint Najeeb tawfeeqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, highlighted that this edition broke all previous records, attracting over 1,070 applicants from various sectors, the highest number since the project’s inception, reflecting growing positive competition among Bahraini youth and their keen interest in joining this leading national platform, which provides a fair environment and equal opportunities to showcase their talents and abilities.
The Minister noted that the fifth edition introduced innovative elements in the training curriculum, including a broader integration of artificial intelligence applications in practical training, as well as partnerships with regional and international experts and institutions, enhancing participants’ ability to meet future demands and gain exposure to global experiences.  She emphasised that the project serves as a platform for transforming youth ambitions into tangible initiatives, with each trainee seen as a partner in building Bahrain’s future, gaining leadership skills, and expanding creative and innovative horizons.
Shaikha Dhowa bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Lamea Association, said the initiative aims to raise the bar each year, making every edition richer and more comprehensive through diversified learning pathways and expanded strategic partnerships.  She added that the fifth edition represents a step toward empowering youth to become an influential force capable of making a positive impact locally and regionally.
The annual Lamea project, held under the umbrella of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, reinforces Bahrain’s commitment to building a strong, innovative, and determined youth base that contributes to shaping a prosperous future for the Kingdom.
