Youth Ministry partners with NBB to support Youth City 2030
The Ministry of Youth Affairs announced a new partnership with the National Bank of Bahrain (NBB), naming the bank as one of the main supporters of the 14th edition of the Youth City 2030, one of the Ministry’s flagship summer training initiatives implemented in cooperation with strategic partner Tamkeen.
The partnership aims to strengthen collaboration between the public and private sectors in support of national efforts to empower Bahraini youth, in line with future development needs.
Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, expressed pride in the collaboration with NBB, describing it as part of the Ministry’s continuous efforts to broaden private sector cooperation to enhance the quality of youth empowerment opportunities.
The Minister said that the partnership reflects the shared vision between the Ministry of Youth Affairs and NBB in supporting youth, noting that the bank’s contribution to the Youth City 2030 represents a valuable addition to its training outcomes and enhances its mission of preparing capable and competitive national talents.
Usman Ahmed, Group CEO of NBB, underscored the bank’s commitment to social responsibility and youth development.
The partnership is part of a series of initiatives supporting this year’s edition of Youth City 2030, held under the theme "Beyond Dreams". The programme, launching this month, offers modern and specialised training across five key centres, such as science and technology, arts and culture, leadership and entrepreneurship, media and entertainment, and sports and health. The programme targets young people aged 9 to 35 through both morning and evening sessions.
